Community building is at the heart of what we do at PRD. Join us at one of our upcoming Special Events! You can easily register online through PRD's CommunityPass website, for Piedmont Community Pool events, please register through the Rec Technologies website. 
 
We highly recommend registering in advance for PRD Special Events. Please note that a CommunityPass account is often required.

Save time and avoid delays by registering ahead of time! Registering at the door can take longer and may slow your entry. Don't forget to remind your friends and family to register early too!

Bay Area ecologist Allen Fish is back for another fascinating Nerd Night focusing on the remarkable adaptations, behaviors, and mysteries that make moths truly extraordinary!

Food Truck Fridays

Got dinner plans? NOW YOU DO! Food Truck Friday, or as we like to call it "No Cook Friday" is back this Fall! Piedmont Recreation Department has added an extra check (i.e. shorter lines) and extended the hours! grab a blanket, invite your neighbors, and come hungry!

All events are BYOB.

Try (it) Out Tuesdays

Try (it) out Tuesday is a great way for girls+ from around the Bay Area to develop their leadership skills, boost their self esteem, and learn a new sport. No matter their skill level, girls+ will have the opportunity to try various hands-on activities, meet the coaches, ask questions, and learn about local opportunities.

Try out three different sports at each event:

September 15:
Badminton, Larosse, Ultimate Frisbee
October 6: Archery, Fencing, Flag Football
October 27: Disc Golf, CAL Rugby, TBD

Piedmont Cup Cardbord Races

plagPut your creativity in engineering skills to the test at the Piedmont Cup Cardboard Boat Races! Design and build a boat using cardboard, then launch it into the pool to see if it can make it across the water. Whether you're racing to win or just joining in for the fun, this unique event is sure to make a splash!

28th Annual Harvest Festival 

plagThis year's Harvest Festival (11:00 am–3:00 pm) will feature the fun stations you've come to expect as well as several new activities we have added this year. The Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF) Carnival will be in full swing, the mainstage will be jumping with the Jazz Festival, food trucks will be fired up alongside the new and improved Farmers' Market, and returning as the heart of the event will be the Piedmont Edibles contest!

Floating Pumpkin Patch

plagMake a splash this fall with our Floating Pumpkin Patch! Dive into the pool to pick your very own floating pumpkin, then enjoy decorating your pumpkin and celebrating with seasonal treats.

Donuts & Dreidels

plagThis festive family event features live music, holiday-themed scavenger hunt, craft, dreidel, menorah making, and fun for the whole family. Take a picture with Doctor Dreidel! Coffee, juice and Hanukkah sufganiyots (jelly donuts) will be served to those who register in advance. Open to all.

Surf's Up Santa!

plagSanta's trading snow for sand this season and he's making a special stop at the Piedmont Community Hall! Join us for a tropical twist on holiday fun with festive crafts, cheerful holiday drinks, and of course a sunny photo op with Santa himself (Hawaiian shirt and all)!

Noon Year's Eve

plagGet ready to celebrate NOON Year's Eve with PRD! We're bringing all the excitement of New Year's Eve to the middle of the day—perfect for little ones and their families. Dance, celebrate and play as DJ Kev keeps the party going with festive music and plenty of fun. Then get ready for the moment everyone will be waiting for: our infamous balloon drop! It's the perfect way to welcome 2027, grab your party crew and join us for a Noon Year's Eve celebration you won't want to miss!
