Public Access to Ethics and Fiscal Training Records
California Senate Bill 827 requires local agencies with a public website to provide clear instructions and contact information explaining how the public may request copies of ethics and fiscal/financial training records for covered officials.
The City of Piedmont is committed to transparency and compliance with state law. Members of the public may request training records using the process below.
Members of the public may request the following records:
- Ethics training records (AB 1234) – Required every two years for covered officials.
- Fiscal and financial training records (SB 827) – Officials serving as of January 1, 2026 must complete their first training by January 1, 2028, so some records may not yet be available.
How to Request Training Records
To request training records, submit a request for the records you are seeking through the City's online Public Records Request portal.
