All registered Alameda County voters should receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the March 5, 2024 Presidential primary election this week. The Registrar of Voters began mailing ballots starting Monday, February 5.
Measure F: City Services Tax renewal
In addition to federal, state, and county primaries, Piedmont voters will be asked to vote on Measure F, a proposed renewal of the City’s longstanding Municipal Services Parcel Tax.

Voting by mail
You can submit your ballot by mail or at any of 66 official Registrar of Voters secure ballot drop boxes across Alameda County.

Mailing your ballot: If you mail your ballot through the post office, it must be postmarked by March 5.

Ballot drop boxes: In Piedmont, there is a ballot drop box located near the mailboxes at Highland Way and Mountain Avenue, available 24 hours a day. The Registrar of Voters picks up ballots from the drop boxes daily. The last pickup will be at 8pm on Tuesday, March 5.
Whether submitting your ballot by mail or a secure drop box, remember to sign the back of your return envelope – otherwise your vote will not be counted!
Voting in Person
Alameda County voters can vote in person at any of 100 Vote Centers across the county. All vote centers will be open:
- Saturday, March 2 – Monday, March 4: 9am-5pm
- Tuesday, March 5: 7am to 8pm
In Piedmont, the Veterans Memorial Building at 401 Highland Avenue will serve as a Vote Center.

Alameda County offers an online tool for tracking your ballot’s progress, available in nine languages. Sign up at Track My Ballot to get notifications by email, text, or phone when your ballot is mailed, received, and counted.
Voter Registration deadline February 20
The last day to register to vote for the March 5 election is Tuesday, February 20.
If you’re already registered, check your registration status before February 20 to confirm that your information is correct. You’ll need to re-register if you have moved, changed your name, or wish to change your political party preference.
