Community survey on disaster preparedness
Published February 8, 2024 | Updated March 25, 2024
Let the City of Piedmont know how we can help you be better prepared for emergencies by completing a brief online survey.
Your responses will help City officials better understand baseline levels of preparedness among our community, where gaps exist, and how we can best support more residents taking important steps to be ready for a disaster.
The survey asks:
- What type of disasters you’re concerned about
- What steps you have taken to prepare
- What barriers keep you from becoming better prepared
- What type of preparedness-related resources or services from the City would be most helpful to you
Your responses will inform future education, outreach, and programming as we strive to build a more prepared and resilient Piedmont.
The survey will remain open through Sunday, March 17th Sunday, April 14th and is available at piedmont.ca.gov/DisasterSurvey. Once you have completed the survey, please share widely with your networks.
Survey launches new citywide online engagement portal
This survey marks the launch of Speak Up, Piedmont! - a new tool intended to help build deeper connections between community members and City Hall. Speak Up, Piedmont! will serve as the City’s hub for online engagement, collecting feedback opportunities from all departments in a single location.
After Speak Up, Piedmont! surveys close, results will be publicly visible within the platform in most cases, increasing transparency into public input and decision-making processes.
Community members can respond to questions with or without creating an account on the site. Registered users will be able to return to a topic and edit their response anytime until the survey close date, and also have the option of showing their name with their response.
