Programs Hours & Tuition Payments

Families can register for Schoolmates or Minimates via Community Pass. For details regarding PRD's school year extended care programs and to view our Schoolmates Parent Handbook, click HERE.

Based on an hourly rate approved by City Council, program rates are calculated for all Schoolmates programs (PUSD & SM closure days are reflected in the tuition price), and fees are collected on a monthly basis. Please review the following program hours and tuition notes that pertain to your desired program(s).

Schoolmates (Grades TK–5)

Tuesday, September 5, 2023–May 29, 2024 
BLOCK BOOKING $11.20/hour
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 3:00–6:00 pm; Wednesdays 1:45–6:00 pm

  • By Day per Month: Enrollment based on a $11.20/hr fee structure

SM KONNEX: FLEXICARE $13.40/hour

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday between 2:00–6:00 pm; Wednesdays 1:45–6:00 pm

  • By Day/Hour per Month: Enrollment based on a $13.40/hr fee structure
  • Kindergarten Note: If your child has a 2:00 pm dismissal time, please enroll in SM Konnex: Flexi-Care to bridge the extended care hour between 2:00–3:00 pm.

Tuition Billing and Payment Details

  • Program Note: Participants are reserving time, space, staffing, and provisions for your child, whether or not they attend.
  • Program fees are collected on a monthly basis. Once registered, your account will be charged on the 10th of each month, and a confirmation will be sent to the primary email on account.
  • Payment information must be stored on your CommunityPass account at the time of enrollment.
  • Please keep your payment information up to date! If your family accumulates a past due balance, and it is not paid in a timely manner, this may result in participant removal until balances are paid in full.
  • Enrollment Rollover Once registered, your child will have an ongoing space until you notify staff that your child will no longer be attending (see Parent Handbook for complete details).
    • SM Konnex Flexi-Care: A second open enrollment will take place in December to provide opportunities for new families to enroll. Interested families will need to re-register for the remainder of the school year.
  • Convenience Fees There is a 3% convenience fee for all credit card transactions, 1% for e-checking transactions. Convenience fees will not be charged if a family has a credit on file of equal or lesser value.
  • Refunds, Credits & Prorated Fees will only be considered by PRD staff under certain circumstances such as extended illness or family situations where the child will be absent for an extended period amount of time. Participants will not be credited or refunded for early pick up, or when they are absent due to early pick ups play dates, or other scheduling conflicts.
