Schoolmates Registration Details

Families can register for Schoolmates, SM Konnex, or Minimates via Community Pass. Please review the following registration notes that pertain to your desired program(s).

Online Registration Note: Schoolmates Programs will not be viewable to the public until its online registration time.  Please review links below to view instructions (including screenshots) and best practices prior to enrollment.

General Enrollment Notes & HOW TOs

COP & PUSD Employees: If you are employed with the City of Piedmont or Piedmont Unified School District, and your child is participating in a PRD program, please contact PRD during office hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm) to review your account settings prior to registration.

Schoolmates (Grades TK–5)

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 3:00–6:00 pm ; Wednesdays 1:45–6:00 pm

If your child's school schedule has a 2:00 pm dismissal time, please refer to SM Konnex to bridge extended care hours between 2:00–3:00 pm.

SM Konnex (Grade TK–5)

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 2:00–3:00 pm (no program Wednesdays)

At the time of online registration, all entries for SM Konnex will be automatically placed on a waitlist. PRD staff will enroll and prioritize students based on Schoolmates/Minimates enrollment, in timestamp order. 

PRD staff will confirm via email, your child's enrollment in SM Konnex. Please make sure that you have a stored payment option on file to complete the transaction. Failure to do so may result in not securing a space at SM Konnex.

Minimates (Grade TK)

SUNRISE: MORNING MINIMATES (PM TK Students): 8:30 am–TK Class Start 
SUNSET: AFTERNOON MINIMATES (AM TK Students): TK Class Release–2:00 pm (1:45 pm on Wednesdays)

The Minimates afternoon programs end promptly at 2:00 pm. If you are in need of extend care beyond 2:00 pm, please read program notes in the SM Konnex section.  

Program Waitlists*

If your desired program is full, you will have the ability to add your child to a waitlist. Families will be contacted via email as openings occur throughout the school year. 

Program Withdrawal

If you wish to withdraw from any of our Schoolmates programs, please contact PRD at [email protected]. The deadline to withdraw is by the 20th prior to the next month of service (i.e. November withdrawal deadline is October 20th). Once withdrawn, PRD cannot guarantee a space will be available should you wish to return to Schoolmates.

Those interested in enrolling must re-register via CommunityPass to add their child back to the Schoolmates waitlist, using the same process they used at the time of their original registration. Invitations to waitlisted families will take place as openings occur via email and families will have 48 hours to reply back to be added to the following month's roster.
