The City of Piedmont invites community members to enjoy a free performance of Hamlet in Dracena Park on Sunday, August 13th, presented by the Vallejo Shakespeare Group:

  • Sunday, August 13, 4pm
Lower Dracena Park, 130 Dracena Avenue

The performance will take place in the quarry area, next to the grove of dawn redwoods. Seating is first come, first served and will be picnic-style on the lawn. Bring a blanket or a low beach chair to enjoy the performance.

Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be on leash.

The City encourages attendees to walk, bike, or carpool to the performance. Parking in the area is extremely limited.

This performance marks the second appearance of Vallejo Shakespeare in Piedmont. In 2019, the group staged Henry V in Dracena Park. Established in 2010, Vallejo Shakespeare Group produces one live Shakespeare production each summer, with free performances in outdoor settings across the Bay Area. The troupe uses minimal sets and costuming, putting the focus on the actors performances.
