At-home Wildfire Exercise Activity

Complete as many tasks on the activity worksheet as you can in the next hour. When you complete a step, check the box next to it.

Bring your completed worksheet to Community Hall (711 Highland Avenue) at 10am for a Community Preparedness Event, where you'll have an opportunity to share observations from your experience and ask questions of emergency responders.

Set aside a few hours the morning of Saturday, November 5 to get better prepared for a wildfire.

The City of Piedmont is holding our first-ever community wildfire evacuation drill. Residents in the Maxwelton neighborhood above Moraga will practice evacuating their homes, while the rest of the city will receive an AC Alert with instructions for a preparedness activity to complete at home.

At 10am, we'll all meet at Community Hall (711 Highland Avenue) for a drill debrief and community preparedness event. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions, share your experience, and speak directly with Piedmont's emergency responders. 

Advance registration for the 10am preparedness meeting is encouraged. Let us know you'll be there.

Maxwelton Neighbors: Pre-register to Participate in the Evacuation Drill

If you live in the Maxwelton neighborhood (Maxwelton Road, Abbott Way, Echo Lane, and Nellie Avenue), you'll get an AC Alert notification the morning of November 5 instructing you to evacuate to Community Hall. Emergency responders may knock on your door around 9am as part of the drill.

If you're planning to join us in practicing evacuation, please register online in advance.

Citywide At-Home Wildfire Readiness Drill

If you live outside the Maxwelton neighborhood, you'll receive a different emergency alert on the morning of November 5th, with instructions for an at-home wildfire readiness activity.

We'll send the drill notification using AC Alert, the emergency alerting system for Piedmont and Alameda County. If you're not registered for AC Alert yet, click the button below to sign up now.
