Partial road closure on St. James Avenue at Park Boulevard August 22-24, 2023

There will be a partial road closure on St. James Avenue adjacent to Park Boulevard:
- 9am-3pm from Tuesday, August 22 through Thursday, August 24
During work hours, the road will be partially closed and traffic will be reduced to a single lane, controlled by flaggers at all times, including entrance and exits to Corpus Christi Church. Flaggers will give priority to vehicles entering from Park Boulevard.
St. James Avenue will be fully open to traffic during non-working hours, but parking restrictions will be in place.
Roadway trenching and restoration schedule
This closure is to allow for DC Electric to conduct electrical work in support of the City of Piedmont’s public safety camera project. The expected project timeline is:
- Tuesday, August 22:Crews will begin saw cutting the roadway
- Wednesday-Thursday, August 23-24: Roadway trenching and restoration
- Friday, August 25: Final electrical work without road closures
