PRD Withdrawal / Cancellation Policy*

Registered for a PRD program but not sure what our cancellation policy is? Policies are reviewed/authorized at the time of registration, but we have included the language below for your convenience.  

PRD Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy

All withdrawal requests must be submitted directly to the Piedmont Recreation Department. Contact PRD via email: prdrefunds@piedmont.ca.gov or phone (510) 420-3070 during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm (excluding City holidays).

10 Business Days or More
A request to withdraw from a program 10 business days or more prior to the start of the program will receive a full refund or credit to account.

Within 5–10 Business Days
A request to withdraw from a program at made 5–10 business days prior to the start of the program may receive a refund to the original form of payments, minus the convenience fee (3% for credit cards, 1% for e-checks) or credit to account. Note: If you request a credit to account, the amount credited will also be less the convenience fee but you will not be charged an additional credit card service when you use your credit for a future registration of equal or lesser value.

Less than 5 Business Days
A request made less than 5 business days prior to the start of the program will be considered on a case by case basis, are only permissible if the original program is over the minimum enrollment required, and must be approved by the instructor and PRD Staff. Families are charged a 10% Class Withdrawal Fee and can receive a refund or credit to account. 

Late Withdrawal Requests
Refunds or credit to account will not be issued after the start of the program, unless there is an exceptional situation and is approved by the instructor and PRD staff. You will be charged a 10% Class Withdrawal Fee, the prorated amount for any classes in progress, and any additional fees (if applicable: Non-resident Fee, Facility Preservation Fee). Instructors will need to approve the return of any material fees. Note: you will only have the option of a credit to your account, no refunds.

Schoolmates and Preschool Programs have separate refund policies.

Program Cancellations:

Refunds for programs that have been canceled by the Piedmont Recreation Department are 100% refundable and will go back to the original form of payment.

Transfers:

Transfer Requests 5 Business Days or More Transfer requests are reviewed by PRD Staff and are only permissible if the original program is over the minimum enrollment required and towards a program of equal or greater cost.

Transfer Requests AFTER PRD Withdrawal Window
Transfers are not allowed after this time, unless approved by both the instructor and PRD staff.
