Why should I join?

Some of the most effective ways to stop emissions come from the household. This website has dozens of actions that can be completed at home. Not only will these actions reduce emissions, but many of them can save thousands of dollars over the lifecycle of the upgrade.

Tutorial

If you have any questions about how to create a profile, join a team or group, and track actions, please read through this tutorial. If you still have questions, please email [email protected].

Goals

Our goals for 2021-2022 include signing up 500 unique households and reducing 500 tons of GHG. This means about 2000 pounds of greenhouse gases reduced per household.

More information

The Challenge began in 2019 as an attempt to decrease greenhouse gas emissions from Piedmont households. Energy use in buildings and private vehicle usage have consistently made up the majority of emissions, and the Challenge can help bring attention to this.
